UGC NET EXAM PROCESS

Step 1: Fill UGC NET Application Form

For UGC NET 2018 registrations, candidates need to fill the application form in the online mode on the official website of CBSE NET (http://cbsenet.nic.in/).

It may be noted that from this year onwards, CBSE has made mandatory for candidates of all states (except J&K, Assam, and Meghalaya) to include their Aadhaar number in the online application form. Therefore, candidates who are not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, need to make application for enrollment immediately by visiting any Aadhaar enrollment center (list available at www.uidai.gov.in), informs the official website.

After filling all details in the application form, candidates need to select the mode of payment option to pay UGC NET 2018 application fee. Candidates can make UGC NET application fee payment either by debit/ credit card or through bank challan generated during online filing of the application form. Note that application fee payment through e-challan should be made in Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank.

Step 2: Download UGC NET Admit Card

After successful UGC NET registrations, candidates need to download their UGC NET 2018 admit card by entering their application number and password on the official website of CBSE NET.

Candidates need to carry the admit card along with a photo ID proof at the allotted UGC NET exam center.

No UGC NET admit cards will be sent to applicants by post, states the official website.

Step 3: Appear for UGC NET

Next, candidates need to appear for the National Eligibility Test at their allotted UGC NET 2018 exam center. UGC NET exam will consist of three papers (conducted in different sessions) in which the first two papers will be of 1.25 hours duration and third paper will be of 2.5 hours duration.

Step 4: Check UGC NET Result

CBSE will declare UGC NET 2018 result on its official website. UGC NET result will contain the roll number and status (qualified for Assistant Professor only or both JRF and Assistant Professor) of candidates qualifying the National Eligibility Test.
